Happy Christmas

I’ve finished my shopping, I’ve wrapped presents AND delivered cards (for some reason I usually end up with at least a few undelivered). I think I am ready for Christmas now….

The week of Christmas is lovely, generally people are wishing eachother well, I love it when strangers say Happy Christmas. There have been a lot of celebratory drinking/eating. And I love the lights everywhere.

It’s a great time of year, for most people, but my heart goes out to anyone who has sadness or loneliness.

Whatever you are doing on December 25th, I hope it brings you joy.

Sam is brilliant, and I really enjoy working out with her. I decided to get a personal trainer because I was struggling to motivate myself to fit in the gym and wanted some help to ensure when I did work out it was really effective.
Sam is perfect! She is extremely experienced and knowledgeable and tailors my workout each week to ensure I am pushing myself whilst also working around my weak knee. She pushes you to workout harder and challenge yourself without you feeling under pressure.
She is really understanding and knows that her clients are busy with hectic lives and is really flexible. Sam is really personable I enjoy my sessions each week as they are fun and I enjoy our chats.

Working with Sam for the last 2 years has been a revelation – I had no idea that going to the gym could be so enjoyable, nor that I was capable of gaining so much strength and flexibility again in my sixties, after a year of brutal cancer treatment left me physically and emotionally wrecked. Sam’s extensive training experience and her deep understanding of the human body, and how it responds to physical activity, inform the exercise programmes she tailors for each individual’s particular needs; not only does she encourage you to work towards challenging goals but, equally importantly, she protects you from injuring yourself by trying to go too far too fast.

With an 8 month old, it can be hard to fit exercise in, and my gym doesn’t have a creche, so being able to bring my baby along is perfect. Sam is supportive and encouraging, and varies her sessions every week, so it’s very much something I look forward to.
